In the original story, everyone meets a tragic end at the hands of Grand Duke Arjen Theron. Determined to survive, Elliot hides his past as a ghostwriter and vows to live quietly.

…Until he’s forced to become the grand duke’s bed servant due to unavoidable circumstances (he has to feed his cat).

To make things worse, the novel’s original bottom finds out Elliot’s secret and drags him into ghostwriting love letters to Arjen, the very thing that starts the bloodbath in the first place.

But… why does the grand duke feel different from the man Elliot remembers from the novel?
