After enduring harsh labor, Sōjirō is reincarnated into another world. Yearning for a peaceful rural life—“I’m tired of tasteless meals, I just want tranquility”—he is cast into a forest considered a magic wilderness, given only a knife. However, that knife turns out to be the artifact CraftGear, which allows him to process and craft anything easily. He begins building his own life: building a shelter, digging a well, even constructing a bed. Thus starts his comfortable life in a purported “uninhabitable” magic forest.
