Yan Xunzhou, a convenience-store night-shift worker, is suddenly kidnapped. Mistaken for Ke Rongchen, the recently murdered heir of the city’s most powerful syndicate due to their striking resemblance, he is moments away from being killed when a handsome assassin appears, wipes out the kidnappers, and carries a bewildered Xunzhou to safety.

It turns out Ke Ming, the gang boss and Rongchen’s father, is hunting for his son’s killers. Believing Yan to be the perfect substitute, Ke Ming decides to keep him alive and use him as bait to draw the real murderers into the open.
