Every summer, she suffers from nightmares of snakes crawling into her house.
Like a dream that follows her even when she runs away, a past she believed she had forgotten comes knocking again.
She had been living as a cool-headed lawyer in Seoul, but under the pretext of advising on a redevelopment association dispute, she returns to her hometown of Geumnak-ri after 11 years. It's a place where the empty past, erased from her memory with her father's death remains.

There, she finds a man who holds the entirety of Heejae's past in his hands: Kim Se-won, CEO of Geumseong D&C. He stands in opposition to her client, and at the same time, he has left an indelible scar on Heejae.
Every time she encounters him, she is overcome by scenes she can't quite tell are dreams or memories: a red rose, an old side door, a school uniform, and a low voice calling her.
