Elma Lushkan, a talented magician, has a beloved lover and student named Muska.

Muska, who is preparing for his final exam at the Mage Association despite his unstable magic, proposes to Elma, asking him to move to another country and live together after the exam.
Hesitant to answer, Elma is told by Muska to respond after the exam. But when he returns to the capital, all that remains is Muska’s cold, lifeless left arm.

Thus, Muska meets a mysterious death, and his body is dismantled and scattered across several magical artifacts.
Determined to bring Muska back to life, Elma makes a contract with Marlow, offering half of his soul and half of his innards as payment, in order to reclaim his lover’s body now trapped within the magical tools.
