Sibon, a genius perfumer celebrated across France, loses the one thing that defines him: his sense of smell. Stripped of his purpose, a devastated Sibon travels to Korea, intending to quietly end his life.

He throws himself into the sea, only to be rescued by Haeun, an eccentric man who runs a solitary antique shop.
