In the first story, Nora, a librarian who lives a simple life alone, is often told she'll never attract men with her attitude. Then one day, her family pressures her to take in her cousin's husband, Keisuke, who is transferring to a job in Nora's city. The arrangement is only until he finds a place for him and his wife to live. But Nora's days, which had been quiet and uneventful, are gradually repainted by Keisuke's presence. A bittersweet love of two lonely people.

The second story depicts two strangers who decide to free themselves from the painful events that plague their lives. As they spend time together, their drastic plan of action may just turn into something new.
