Philia’s older sister, Angelica — who is also the holy maiden of the kingdom — suddenly tells her:
“I’ll give you Maynard.”
Maynard was Angelica’s former fiancé, a knight who was severely wounded in a battle against monsters and now cannot even stand due to a curse. Because of this, Angelica decides she can’t marry him anymore — and shoves the engagement onto Philia, essentially abandoning Maynard to her.
Though Philia’s own abilities as a magician are low and her family has looked down on her, she secretly harbors feelings for Maynard and decides to marry him anyway — hoping to help and protect him. What awaits them is a journey in which Philia tries to find a way to lift his curse and stand by his side… all while their relationship grows deeper.
