Juno, the princess of a small nation, was raised as a sheltered daughter by her gentle father, the King. She had been eagerly looking forward to her marriage to her kind fiancé, Leif, the second prince of a neighboring country. However, her reunion with Leif took place before the blood-stained corpse of her father. Leif had suddenly conquered Juno’s country with lightning speed alongside his own army.

As Juno condemned him, calling him a “murderer,” Leif coldly declared: “At this very moment, I am breaking my engagement with you.” Then he added, “Choose for yourself, be executed here, or become the wife of the man who decapitated your father.”

Juno understood that he wanted to humiliate her by forcing her to make the choice herself.
