Manga and manhwa are a family interest in our household. I started with Amar Chitra Katha Hindu comics family would bring back from India. From there is wasn’t a big leap to ‘90s comics under DC’s Vertigo line and in the 2000’s I was a bit too into Batman for a stretch. My spouse and I would gift each other great graphic novels and found gems like Paper Girls, Runaways and Giant Days. But we had to beat the kids off less than age appropriate stuff.

we invested a ton during the pandemic when libraries were closed for my kids. Nimona, the Courageous Princess, Ghosts, on and on. 

I’d always loved anime growing up with old school Voltron and Robotech. But manga wasn’t readily available in English near me. Then my eldest started reading manga and I found Bato - and then promptly gave up as I fell down my own manga/manhwa rabbit hole. 

Now I’m a yaoi ho, uncensored the better, loving formulaic isekai and regression.
