Somewhat recent fan of manga and manhwua comics, mostly BL. Smut is prefered, uncensored smut is the best, and smut that advances the plot is perfection.
I chose my user name once I noticed I'd already been around long enough to get a bit sick of a fair amount of tropes that are common in the genre, and so I started actively looking for parodied, subverted, deconstructed or inverted tropes.
Favorite tropes: tsundere, rivals/enemies to lovers (the pettiest the conflict, the better), second chance/past lovers
I'd rather not find in my BL: the rape-to-romance love story, sacrificial lamb ukes, wild power imbalance in favor of the one topping, she-is-really-my-sister misunderstandings, omegaverse that is basically the patriarchy but they’re all men
I'm ALWAYS on the search for recommendations that include:
- clever humor
- vers couples
- power imbalance in favor of the uke
- sexual blackmail stories in which the victim goes “fine, let’s have sex, but you can’t make me enjoy it” and actually doesn’t (never seen it, BTW)
- BDSM relationships in which the bottom is also the dom
